The Dyer - Roeder relation in a universe with particle production
We have obtained analytical exact solutions of the Dyer-Roeder equation in a cosmological model where creation of particles occurs at the expenses of the gravitational field. We discussed the influences of in-homogeneities in the path of a light beam on the apparent diameter of astrophysical objects and consider both redshift independent as redshift dependent distributions of the inhomogeneities.
متن کاملLight Propagation through Large-scale Inhomogeneities in the Universe and Its Impact on Cosmological Observations
This paper analyses cosmological observations within inhomogeneous and exact solutions of the Einstein equations. In some way the analyses presented here can be freed from assumptions such as small amplitude of the density contrast. The supernova observations are analysed using the Lemâıtre–Tolman model and the CMB observations are analysed using the quasispherical Szekeres model. The results s...
متن کاملLight propagation in statistically homogeneous and isotropic dust universes
We derive the redshift and the angular diameter distance in rotationless dust universes which are statistically homogeneous and isotropic, but have otherwise arbitrary geometry. The calculation from first principles shows that the Dyer-Roeder approximation does not correctly describe the effect of clumping. Instead, the redshift and the distance are determined by the average expansion rate, the...
متن کاملAn extended multidimensional Hardy-Hilbert-type inequality with a general homogeneous kernel
In this paper, by the use of the weight coefficients, the transfer formula and the technique of real analysis, an extended multidimensional Hardy-Hilbert-type inequality with a general homogeneous kernel and a best possible constant factor is given. Moreover, the equivalent forms, the operator expressions and a few examples are considered.
متن کاملLight propagation through anisotropic turbulence.
A wealth of experimental data has shown that atmospheric turbulence can be anisotropic; in this case, a Kolmogorov spectrum does not describe well the atmospheric turbulence statistics. In this paper, we show a quantitative analysis of anisotropic turbulence by using a non-Kolmogorov power spectrum with an anisotropic coefficient. The spectrum we use does not include the inner and outer scales,...
